Para Fine Rust Convertor is a unique solution that is also a primer that can be coated on iron or steel surfaces to convert rust (iron oxide) in to a protective shield. The working mechanism is that the rust convertor reacts with iron oxide, converting into a layer which becomes a barrier to moisture & prevent further rusting. Post conversion, further processes like painting can be done on the surface.

AREA OF USE
Exterior and Interior applications. For use on wrought iron and ferrous metal surfaces.
Can be used on any rusty iron or steel object. It can be used on vehicles, trailers, fences & gates, iron railings and staircases, sheet metal, cast iron, outsides of tanks, etc.
On all rusted steel surfaces before painting or repainting when preparation by sandblasting is a problem, e.g. cargo holds, decks, hatch covers, superstructures, pipelines, winches, rails etc. It is also used on sandblasted surfaces to prevent or passivate "flash rust".
Beyond being particularly suitable for use in the highly corrosive marine atmosphere it is also suitable for use on offshore rigs, in shipyards and refineries.

Note: Do not use on surfaces used for the collection of drinking water, unless over coated completely with a suitable coating system.

FEATURES / ADVANTAGES
Neutralizes the corrosion process
Quick reaction with rust
Creates a thorough chemical passivation making it a sound base for application of most paint or coating systems
Gives a water insoluble hydrophobic film
Is non-hazardous, non flammable and the film is fire retardant
Only minimum surface preparation required
Provides protective coating for the ultimate protection and quality against rust.

COVERAGE
Roughly 300 sq.ft. per litre of prepared solution, if sprayed uniformly on the areas to be cleaned

SUGGESTED DILUTION
Ready to use solution

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare a surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc.
Remove as much rust and scale as possible using 50 grit sand paper or wire brush. Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse well and dry with clean cloth.
Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray

Shake can vigorously for one full minute. Apply on the surface to be coated and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs and sags, apply 2-3 light coats, allowing surface to dry no more than 2 minutes between coats. Final application should dry to a black finish. Protect from moisture and allow surface to dry 24 hours before applying topcoat. If needed, dry sanding can be done to achieve a smooth coat before applying primer or topcoat.

Note: Cooler temperature, higher film thickness, or higher humidity conditions will lead to longer drying times. Do not apply when surface temperature is below 10 C or above 40 C

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Use PPEs like gloves, apron, eye goggles and face shield while handling the chemical

AppearancePale Yellow Transparent viscous liquid
An effective Rust Preventive Oil that offers outstanding protection to metals from corrosion. The mineral oil based formulation is specially blended with corrosion preventive and film forming additives that completely block the metal surface from environmental adversities.
These are oil deposited, water displacing type, corrosion preventives. These fluids can be applied directly to water wet metal surfaces, where they displace water and leave a protective film.
The RPO leaves a soft, tacky film that can withstand further handling. It can be used for a wide range of metals and machined components for long periods of storage or export shipments. It can withstand the harsh conditions of sea environments during shipment.
The RPO can be applied either by dipping or spraying. The film deposition is thin, uniform and long lasting. At the same time, the film can easily be wiped off with petroleum solvents, MTO or with alkaline degreasers to expose the bare metal for further operations.
Para Fine Rust Preventive Oil is currently under testing as per IS:1154 standards to establish its efficacy further.

AREA OF USE
Temporary protection of sheet steel, hand tools, small parts, bearings and highly machined surfaces under relatively mild conditions of indoor storage, packaged shipment or interprocess handling.
In metal processing industries for protection in between machining operations
For export shipments of finished components
Export of expensive machinery with critical components
Protection of metal tubes, TMT bars during transshipment
Protection of Gears parts, Nails, Automotive crankcase and Nut bolts from the rust and corrosion.

FEATURES / ADVANTAGES
Good medium-term rust protection
Low viscosity oil provides widespread coverage of metal surfaces for greatest protection against oxidation and corrosion. After evaporation of the solvent, a thin, highly protective, non-drying oily film remains to protect the metal.
Oxidation and corrosion inhibitors in the oil resist chemical attack by air, water, other fluids and particulate matter.
Easy application
High volatility of the solvent ensures rapid evaporation, minimizing postapplication dripping.
Thin transparent oily film is readily soluble in petroleum solvents to enable easy removal when required
Excellent protection in salt and humidity environments
Non-staining properties
Compatibility with non-ferrous & non-metals
Penetrative properties ensures every crevice of the component is protected

COVERAGE
Roughly 400 sq.ft. per litre of oil, if sprayed uniformly on the metal to be protected

SUGGESTED DILUTION
Ready to use solution

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Ensure the component is free of any chemical residue, grease, dirt etc. by cleaning with a degreaser and washing with soft water
The wet/dry component is dipped into the Rust Preventive Oil bath fully to ensure thorough coverage. The water is instantly displaced and the oil covers the component with a thin film
Leave to hang to drip off excess oil
Pack in suitable packaging ensuring no damage to oil film

To remove the film, just wipe off with a petroleum solvent or an alkaline degreaser

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Use PPEs like gloves, apron, eye goggles and face shield while handling the chemical
